Fair association elects directors, sets fair date – Red Bluff Daily News
The Tehama County Fair Association held an enthusiastic meeting last night in the halls of the Chamber of Commerce, which was attended by about seventy-five members of the association.
They proceeded to enlarge their board of directors to twenty-two and that board now numbered twenty-seven, these being among the liveliest and most alert citizens of the county.
The first Tehama Departmental Fair is a certainty and will take place the first week of October, from 2 to 8 inclusive. It was originally planned to hold the fair in the second week between the 10th and 15th. The change of date last night was seen as a very practical step. Better weather conditions are assured at the start of the end.
The regulations were tabled and adopted last night. Only a few changes have been made.
Erle Gans chaired last night’s meeting and RE Whitney served as secretary. The current board of directors will meet shortly and select the permanent directors.
The administrators are now rising. Claus Trede, WF O’Connor, RM Norvell, HK Willard, Erle Gans, Charles Vote, CW Million, HC Kauffman, AJ Harrell, WT Ruby. TH Silsbee, Charles Dicus, WN Woodson, Roy Owens, HE Williams, JS Houseman, TH Ramsay, JL Hamilton, Floyd Goodrich, M. Boots, IW Brunk. AE Johnson, UB Tyler, Fred A. Clark, Frank P. Childs, George Burt, and WP Spalding.
